    Hi,

I'm looking for some confirmation on whether the following is possible for the Symantec Enpoint Protection (SEP).

    Background information:
We are planning to host a multi-tenant cloud as a Cloud Service Provider that would host both Linux and Windows machines. Towards this effort, we are planning to deploy a Live Update Server (LUS) since the Liinux machines can't get the updates from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM). There will be multiple tenants each with their own instance of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).

    Question:

Can I configure all the clients/SEPM to use a Centralized or Global Live Update Server that will be used by all the clients/SEPM deployments? (My logical assumption is that it is possible since LUS is only a repository from where the machines can install the updates). Please confirm.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sailam

    Rafeeq, thanks for your response.

Just to confirm, can multiple SEPM deployments use the same Live Update Server irrespective whether we use embedded DB or SQL DB or a mix of both DB for multiple deployments?

Is there any downside with this model of using a Central Live Update Server (LUS)?

Yes, you can use single LUadmin to update multiple SEPM. I dont see any downside, Just create a different distribution scheduled for different manager and not all at the same time.
