I wanted to add that this system requirement is primarily related to web console access and viewing the in-line help (you'll note that "Web browser" is under SEPM system requirements) and does not have anything to do with Browser Intrusion Prevention.
See Supported Browser versions for Browser Intrusion Prevention.
ETA: I am making inquiries about whether additional browser support was added for 12.1.2.

Yes Sandra, the issue is Browser Intrusion Prevention
Is there anyone who blocks the use of Google Chrome?, users can easy
install and using it, less secure webbrowser than IE and Firefox if Browser Intrusion Prevention
is important.
/Roger
If you want to block Chrome from installing, you would need to use an application control policy to the block the exe

We are using the SEP Firewall to block all but internal/allowed usage of non-IE browsers. We could not block the usage entierly because of a few apps as well as developers.
We block Chrome for most users. Some exceptions are for web developers that need to test their websites, but otherwise it is blocked for everyone.
Personally, I'd block everything Google, except the search page, if I could... Most Google apps that we've tested are just not business-ready. OK for consumer use, but not for business.
This reply is not much about the compatibility but a matter of simple choices.
Chrome is a good browser, please use it for non secure browsing. Keep clearing the offline content frequently.
Use IE or respective versions of Firefox for Secure browsing. :)
Good Luck!

I have gotten word back about browser support for the Browser Intrusion Prevention plugin and the following document has been updated for 12.1.2. (Sorry about the green on brown/grey text in the table headers. I can't seem to change it.)
Supported Browser versions for Browser Intrusion Prevention

The short version is that Chrome is still considered unsupported for the Browser Intrusion Prevention plugin. I will be adding clarification on browser support (a link to the above page) to the 12.1.2 System Requirements.
