grc.dat force update works, but client only updates half way.

    Background:

     

    We are running SAV CE 10.7.7000.  Clients are all on 7000 or 6010.  For the past few days I have been troubleshooting a specific group of clients that aren't updating own their own.  I'm not sure if it's due to firewall settings or other misconfigurations.

     

    We recently opened some ports on our firewalls (139 and 2967) to make sure communications are not the problem.

     

     

    We performed a manual update on the clients by copying a new grc.dat file, and kicking the services.  The clients began to update, however they went from 12/22/2008 definitions to 12/31/2008 definitions instead of straight to the 1/6/2009 which is on the server.  We performed another manual update and some of the clients then updated to 1/6, but some remained on 12/31. 

     

    Any thoughts?
