    Hi All,
I have a situation where I have setup a GUP environment at a state office.
The state office is connected via vpn to the head office where the SEPM is located.

The GUP is not downloading and publishing the virus definitions to its sharedupdates directory however the SEP install on the GUP machine is updated to the latest definitions (from the sepm)
Their are around 25 clients in the state office with a local file server set as the GUP in SEPM Policy.

The GUP machine has created its "sharedupdates" folder and is identifying itself as the GUP in the system logs however it is not downloading the full definition packages to its sharedupdates directory, rather, it is downloading small content update files between 20KB and 300KB.

The only machine on the state office network which is currently up to date is the GUP itself. All other machines are still sitting on their initial deployment definitions with "waiting for updates" flagged.
This is now 5 days into deployment.

My state office has port 8014, 80 and SSL open to the SEPM and the GUP SEP client is working beautifully, fully updated and all, it is just not sharing.
Ive seen other GUPs in action and the 45-55MB definition packages sit nicely in the sharedupdates folder waiting for fresh clients to come along, for some reason mine is just downloading small content updates and not the full package.

    Can anyone assist?

Uninstall the client, export a new install package from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, and roll out that new package to the client.

Troubleshoot any communication issues between the client and the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
