    Dear All,

My company have 8 branch offices. Each branch has 10-20 PCs and network bandwidth 1Mbps. I should use GUP or Secondary server on each branch location? or centralization ?

    Thanks & Best regards,

for 10-20 machines, use the GUP.

managing SEPM will be diffiult at each locations.

    HI,

You can use GUP for each location.

Because your network bandwidth only 1Mbps.

Best Practices with Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Group Update Providers (GUP)

    Agree with above suggestions.

GUP can be configured for the branch locations.

What is a limitation when using GUP?

There isn't any.  GUP is normal SEP client , So if SEP is supported then GUP is also supported

does GUP support update patch to client ?

GUP only Contect are update,(If your GUP is not update latest Virus Defination Other sep client not update)

Go with a GUP at each location. You can still have all clients reporting in to 1 SEPM, making administration much easier.

    Hi,

We would recommend GUP only because clients are only 10-20 per sites.

As pete said it will ease the administration. You can manage all remote sites from the SEPM sitting at main site.

It's not recommended to install new SEPM for 10-20 clients until and unless it's really required.

I configured SEPM secondary for each branch location. So, I will remove SEPM secondary and configured GUP for each locations. pls, tell me how to synchronize db from secondary to main server before moving.

    Thanks,
