  • 1.  GSS 2.0.1: Run product upgrade ends in WARNING

When we deploy an image to a PC with GSS 2.0.1 , I'm having another issue.

All the the other Ghost steps end in a SUCCESS status from the console except for the second Run Product Upgrade which ends in WARNING:

    Wake-on-LAN - Success
Client file missing - copying from server now - Success
Client file missing - copying from server now - Success
Update DOS system files - Success
Update DOS Network Drivers - Success
    Prepare configuration - Success
    To Virtual Partition - Success
    Clone - Success
    Configuration - Success - Success
To target operating system - Success
    Download client upgrade - Success
    Run client upgrade - Success
    Download product upgrade - Success
    Run product upgrade - Success
    Run product upgrade - WARNING
    Finish - Success
Could someone please explaint why are there *two* run product upgrades, after the client upgrade?  What's the difference.

Afterwards, when I look at the properties for the machine, I see the following (client tab):

    Console Client Version:

Client version:        11.0.1.1533      Product version:      82.00.01117
Required version:   11.0.1.1533      Required version:  110.01.1533

Forgetting for a second that the decimal point is in the wrong location and not a typo on my part, what is the difference between client and product, and for what reasons would the product upgrade fail?

    Thanks,

    Glenn

Thanks for reporting this.  Can you please run a refresh task after completed the task with warning and see whether it still has the warning?  Also is this problem reproducible?

    Thanks,
    Jenny

Yes, it is reproducable.  We reinstalled the Ghost server Operating System from scratch, and installed 8.3. We got that working again without any errors.

We then installed 11.0.1 and started getting the errors again, except this time the imaging is failing at the final configuration stage.

If we run a refresh task, we get a more normal looking client screen, but the Console Client Version is now saying it is 11.01.1533 but the required version is 8.3.0.1331.

If you would like, I can email you the screenshots.

Is 11.01.1533 still the latest version?
