    Hi!!

    I use GSS Korean version.

Server and Client Mainboard: Asrock 770DE3L

MSXML6 installed --> GSS11.5.1.2266 --> Ghost boot wizard --> Pre-OS --> Windows PE --> Edit  Select WinPE-512 and Copy to New name --> Select new Name and Edit. Network Drivers Tab --> Remove all --> Then select Add new Driver. Browse to folder containing the Vista Driver.

Give it a Friendly name(8168_Vista). Applicable OS, I mark VISTA. Click ok. --> The Error occurs!!

The Error says, "Failed to load the Driver, can not find the driver to be added"

Adding Asrock Vista 32bit lan driver fails!

    http://www.asrock.com/MB/download.asp?Model=770DE3L&o=Vista

Adding Realtek Vista 32bit lan driver fails!

    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

    Would you please help me?

What form is the driver in after you have downloaded it?  Many drivers download as EXE files or ZIP files and need to be unpacked first before they can be used.

For WinPE to be able to import the driver, the driver must be available in the form of an INF and SYS file at the very least, plus any other support files (eg CAT) that the vendor supplies.  The INF file tells the operating system what files to load and what registry entries are required, and the absence of this file or any other required support files is usually responsible for the error message you are getting.

If you open the INF file in a text editor you can see what other files are required in one of the sections in the file.

    Hi,

This is the defect in localized verion of Ghost Boot Wizard and fixed in build 2287. You can avail the fix from tech support and the information is outline on the top of this forum.

Issue is Ghost Boot Wizard does not recognize a "Double bytes (Multi bytes)" character name for the folder for the driver path when trying to add a driver. Work around for this is to keep the drivers under non multi byte character name folder e.g. give English name to the folder and try. This should work.

    Edt, Ghosti!

    Thanks a lot!

I successfully added a Vista driver to WinPE 512 and everything goes well.
