  • 1.  GSS 2.5 error running backupdb.swf script

    I'm trying to backup the Ghost Console using the "backupdb.swf" script.  When I run it I get this message:

    GSS 11.5.1.2266
     
    I plan to reformat the server with Windows 7 and restore the database.

    Those line numbers don't seem to correspond to any of my official versions of the script but since you're running the script on Vista, the right first step is to make sure you're running the latest version.

    It's a good idea to start with the script bundle from the source code repository and try using the versions of the scripts from there (which is currently the 2009-08 version from r15, there's a download link on the right-hand side of the page to a zipfile containing all the scripts). It should be that if you run the current versions of backupdb/restoredb from there that they should work fine on Vista and Win7.
