    Hi,
i'm using GSS 2.5 and Win-PE. When i try to clone a computer by ethernet connection this message display :

"Drivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devices:

Manufacturer : "Intel", Description: Intel(R) 82567LM Gigabite Network Connection.....
    Manufacturer : "Intel", Description: Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA-AHCI Controller...."

I've already read the webpage : How to resolve "Drivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devicesDrivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devices", but when i try to add my INF files, this message display :
"Following drivers have problems to work with windows pe" or something like this. I don't know how to install my network card in solution suite 2.5.

    Any info would be great.

    Sorry for my bad English.
    Cheers,

    User

Which drivers are you trying to add?
The version of WinPE used in GSS2.5 requires 32 bit drivers, and I believe you need the Vista drivers where available.

If you have any identical models of computer still with the manufacturer's image installed, open Device manager and have a look at the PNP id's of the network card and of the SATA controller.
Then check that the PNP id's are present in the INF files associated with the drivers you are trying to install. The plug and play process identifies the correct drivers by searching all the INF files for a matching PNP ID.

I don't know whether the WinPE implementation in GSS 2.5 offers a 64 bit bootable version of WinPE as well as a 32 bit version. I've assumed that only a 32 bit version is required if you are deploying ghosted images, but if you are using a scripted install based on an image of the operating system install CD or DVD, then a 64 bit O/S install would require a 64 bit version of WinPE.

I have the exact same error.  I am trying to create an image for HP7500 desktops.  I have the client machine ready to go with Win XP Pro installed.  Set up Ghost Console, got the sysprep file working finally and when I run the task I get the same errors.  NIC driver and SATA driver problems.

The drivers for these are like 22mb and 14mb in size, so exactly what files are needed to update the WinPE  (or WinPE-512)?

the line probably starts 127.0.0.1.  Usually polling for bound server means you have no network connection and no IP address.  If you had one you would get sending to and received from status messages.

are your network drivers loading?  Since you are getting the address of 127.0.0.1, it sounds like you never get an IP.  If you had an IP but couldnt contact the Ghost Console, it would show an actual IP
