GSS 2.51 (11.5.1.2298) + WinPE 3.0 & WinPe 5.0 Configuration Error

    Hi all,

    I'm looking for some help with an error that i receive when using WinPE 3.0 and WinPE 5.0. Both same error.

    The WinPE's are both working for imaging. Only when i use a configuration file, the task will fail with the following error:

    Step: Configuration --> Failed

    Event Details: An error occurred on the client but the error file could not be retrieved.

    THe configuration file contains the information to join our domain and attach the computer name.

    Anyone who mayb knows what the problem is?

    The basic problem is that GSS 2.5.1.2266 is not validated with WinPE versions other than V2, so it's really in your hands to find workarounds. I would recommend reading this article by Terry Bu:

    as he has done some sterling work on finding ways to get GSS working on newer versions of WinPE.

    Aside from that, there are other ways of arranging a domain join if you cannot get it working through the ghost system, using the Microsoft methodologies.
