We currently use GSS 2.5 and we want to test out GSS 3.0 before upgrading.

But i am not able to install it

During the 1st phase of the setup -Installation ghost Solution Program files- it fails at 97% with the following error :

Error - 132 Occurred installationg or upgradeing a file. The File could be locked or in use.

I am trying to install it on a 2012 r2 server datacenter.

So far i tried : Domain account installation, local account, joined and not joined to the domain, installed everything on C drive, i unblocked all the files.

I also tried to install the sql database separately. I always get that error.

    Anyone got that error ?

Have you tried a disk cleanup? Might be that you've got a full temp folder which is getting in the way of the installation.

I did empty the temp folder each time between attempts.

I tried again a few minutes ago, just to be sure. Reverted my snapshot, cleaned temp folders and restarted installation.

    same error.

What volume are you installing GSS on, and how much space is free?

C: Drive, it has 33 GB available out of 50.

Might be worth running a "SCANDISK" with the repair option just in case the file in question is associated with a bad block.  Also, have you checked the event log for possible information on exactly which file the error is associated with.  Check the application event log first.
