During testing GSS in a lab environment using the Trialware I received the following error, "The Trialware version of Ghost can only be installed on this machine once."
Here is the scenario: At first I had the Trialware installed on an XP machine as the Server/Console. I decided to blow it away and install Server 2003 for DHCP functionality. This was a completely new install, partitions deleted recreated and formatted, on the same machine (use to be the XP machine). After getting Server 2003 installed and functioning I proceed to install the GSS Server and Console. Then I received the error message at the beginning of the installation.
Does GSS add information to the boot sector of the hard drive to show previous installations? I find it hard to believe that the CD knows how many times I've installed it! Haha. Is there any work around or solution to this problem? Thanks for the help.Message was edited by:
