GSS, Vista and missing wireless connections
I have a problem with ghosted Vista Business laptops losing the Wireless connection defined on the master image. I have had to add the connection by hand as I handed out the computers. This has been a problem with both GSS 2.0 and GSS 2.5.
I could understand if the connection was tied to a specific user, but I can log on to the re-imaged computers with a domain admin account and add the connection and it will be valid for the other users on the computer, or I can add it in a limited user's session and still have it active for all users logging in later.
The XP machines we have suffer from no such problem.
The connection is a silent (non-broadcasting) WPA-PSK (TKIP) connection, and I haven't the time or resources to implement a RADIUS-server solution at this time.
So realizing that this may not be entirely ghost-specific but may be more of a matter of how Ghost/Vista cooperates (or not, as the case may be), could anyone give me some pointers towards:
Is there some setting in GSS that will allow me to keep existing wireless connections after re-imaging machines?
Failing that, is there some way of adding a WPA-PSK (TKIP) connection to a number of clients at a time, say a group policy or preference or as a last resort a reg-file that I can run manually after first logon?
I've tried googling for various combinations of wireless connections and Vista and all I find is the manual step by step method, so it seems my google-fu is weak in this specific matter.

IPCONFIG /RELEASE ?
Are you releasing the IP addresses before imaging? Depending on the lease time, it is possible that the machines are booting with a duplicate IP address to another machine already on the network and thus the connection is not working.

I'm quite sure it's not a matter of clashing IP-addresses, first the WLAN and the Wired LAN is separated onto separate subnets. And the WLAN is in a superscope so there are 450+ addresses available for wireless clients and totally we only have about 300 clients today. The lease time for the WLAN is two days.
Also most of these computers are directly out of the box, so they would not have had a previous address to release.
Also when I enter Manage Wireless Networks from the Network and Sharing Center the Master Image computer contains an entry for our WLAN, while the recently re-imaged computers are blank when I log on and enter Manage Wireless Networks. So it seems the connection itself is not being transferred somehow.
