Hi, i just upgraded my gss 1.1 to gss2 and the console doesn't seem to support accent caracters. All my configuration object contained accent like "École" and after the update, they are all set to BLANK "". Is it normal.
Poor french guy that i am....:)

    Hi,

Upgrading from GSS 1.1 to GSS 2.0 should preserve special characters. You have mentioned configuration objects, do you mean the names of the configuration resources that you have defined? Are all of the special characters that you use affected or just one?

    Regards,
    Slawek

I'm talking about names of the configuration resources. At anytime, when i am putting a special caracter like "école" it takes it but if i quit the console and reopen it, the name is set to "". Another thing by the way, i don't find where is the default user name after a ghost deployment is. In the GSS 1.1, it was in the configuration resource. I don't find it and my default user name is containing a special caracter and it is replaced by "██". At the login screen of windows, after a ghost, it is supposed to be written "Numéro de fiche". Now, with GSS 2.0, it is written "Num██ro de fiche" and the name in the console is set to "CompName - Num??ro de fiche"    Same problem, different context.

This is a bug in 2.0. It affects the display of the names of the Configurations only (other types of resources are fine). The fix is coming in the patch that will be available through LiveUpdate.
