Guage Tree Document was not available
All,
When I attempt to display my reports tab in Altiris, we get the following error in the logs:
Log File Name: C:\program files\altiris\notification server\logs2\a.log
Priority: 2
Date: 11/12/2008 3:32:30 PM
Tick Count: 1440557125
Host Name: xxxxxxxxxx
Process: w3wp.exe (4484)
Thread ID: 4156
Module: AltirisNativeHelper.dll
Source: Altiris.GaugeSubsystem.GaugeTreeProvider.BuildTree
Description: Gauge Tree Document was not available, treeDoc still null
It slows down Altiris to a crawl while it is trying to enumerate the page. Further, at the top of the page in the dashboards area, we have Gauge Summaries as a folder.
We removed Guage Summaries over a year ago as it was causing us issues. Any suggestions on how to remove this or maybe why it is back?
Thank you.
Did you remove the gauge subsystem installed at all? How about monitor\site monitor?

Yes, all that was removed awhile ago, even to the point where Altiris was on the line with SQL to remove the stuff that Add/Remove programs didn't.
I'm stumped. It is as if a hidden part of the database suddenly woke up.
That's scary. If you haven't done any repairs or additions recently, that could have possibly forced a repair, you would be best served by calling support. I know the monitor solution uninstall was quite an involved process.
