    Greetings,

The environment I support deployed GuardianEdge 9.5.3 on their laptops 8 years ago.  The laptops have been replaced with newer models in recent years, but we are now undergoing a laptop refresh project in which we are still utilizing GuardianEdge as our means of hard drive encryption.  The new laptops (Dell Precision M4800) we're deploying have 1 and a few have 2 terabyte hard drives.  We've seen some various issues that we can't seem to pinpoint the culprit.  Issues such as laptop rebooting in cycles (when switchable graphics is enabled), blue screens of death, and most recently windows booting to a black screen with only the cursor available are what we have seen.

Can anyone tell me if GuardianEdge 9.5.3 has issues or is incompatible with hard drives that are (4k sector) 1 terabyte or larger?  This could help explain why we are having issues with laptop stability.

    Thanks!

AReyna8, Guardian edge has reached end-of-life and is no longer supported. the recommendation is for all customers who are utilizing this product to upgrade to the latest encryption product, that is SEE 11.

From an IT point of view, you may be able to utilize this product for many years ahead without issue, however, keep in mind as new hardware becomes available you may notice further incompatibility issues, of which cannot behave addressed as the product has reached end-of-life. The suggestion is to use latest encryption product to receive complete product support. regarding your question with 4 k sector, you may want to try 512 e, and re test
