Our organisation is about to start using the guest console for helpdesk. One question that was asked was whether it was possible to link the ‘NAME’ field on the form to our LDAP directory. Connector solution is used to import our LDAP directory.  I didn't think this was possible as the guest form simply enters the information into the ‘comment’ field of the incident.   Does anyone know if this is possible?

Many thanks for help.

 Why the guest form? the

Why the guest form? the Winuser console has integrated IIS authentication, which would pull your login name and then match it with the imported data from your AD.

The guest console has Anonymous authentication enabled, so there is no way to get back a username for the logged in user. To do that, you MUST use the Winuser console.
