This issue has been solved. See solution.
My clients is not updating from gup.
The server that could be a gup is not answering on telnet localhost 2967
Any idea?

if the GUP is configured on
if the GUP is configured on 2967 and clients not able to communicate on 2967, this is definetly issue related to communication.
check firewall rules if any that is blocking the traffic communication.

The port
The port is 2967 isen't that the default port?
There are no local firewall on the client.
folder
C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SharedUpdates is not created
if the above folder is not
if the above folder is not created then the client is not acting GUP>

Hi,
I have now troubleshooted this for a little time.
I explain the setup below.
My Company----
---------------------Gups
---------------------Clients
In the GUPS group every server will be gups.
In the client group the Liveupdate policy , points to the record gup.domain.com
So when the clients want a virudef from a gup, it gets the neares gup server, depaning where it is lookated.
gup.domain.com
But how will the Liveupdate policy settings be in the Gups group.? I ant every server in this group to be a GUP

The Policy for GUPS is gup*
If all machines can be a GUP,
If all machines can be a GUP, then they will all gets their update for SEPM.
