I'm needing verify that my GUP is working and doing its job. What is the best way to do this using 12.1.6 MP5? Using SepmMonitor.bat doesn't work on mine as I get the following error:

    Failed to launch process JavaLaunchTool.exe.

    Non-canned answers would be appreciated!

Definitely need to figure out what's up with the GUP monitor as that's quickest and easiest to use.

You can use some advanced filtering though:

SEPM 12.1 - Advanced Settings filter options for Client Activity logs

Use the keyword 'GUP' for the event source to see GUP activity.

Why would I be getting "Failed to launch process JavaLaunchTool.exe"? I have java installed, and I don't have a "javalaunchtool.exe" anywhere on my computer? To run the GUP tool I read I just launch SepmMonitor.bat from ContentDistributionMonitor folder under the tools directory.

This is the only documentation I can find on how to use it yet it doens't explain what to do. It says copy the .jar and .bat file into the tool folder, but that does nothing. Makes no sense.

You have to copy the two files into the installation path located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools

This tool is already on the SEPM.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools and run the .bat file

    That should do it.

Yes, I just outlined above. But with newer versions of SEP it's already there.
