    I have setup  GUPS on a Endpoint console how do make a client use a GUP, as this has been setp in polices. Currently when I check properties for a client it displays Group Update Provider (False)

    Just thought I'd chime in with a quick note that many miss.  Adding the client as a GUP to the LiveUpdate policy alone is not enough.  Please confirm the (very) short check list below and try again:

    • Intended GUP has managed SEP Client installed
    • Intended GUP is receiving a LU Policy telling it to be a GUP
    • Other SEP Clients are receiving a LU Policy telling them to use that GUP

    For Admins new to SEP, I find they tend to miss the second point and forget to tell the GUP itself to be a GUP.
