Hard Disk showing yellow exclamation mark

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a resolution with this issue.

Currrently running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Cluster with Storage Foundation 5.2. One node is currently offline.

We have one resource group with 2 disks connected but 1 disk is showing an exclamation mark (yellow) with several resources not being brought online. Other resources in this cluster group are online. But when accessing  "cluadmin", we are noticing that it is hanging on this disk group.

Not to sure where to proceed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please check Event Viewer System and Application logs for possible disk errors.

What options are available if you right-click on the disk?
If 'Reactivate Disk' is an option, try that.

Can you verify that all disks are visible first through the Windows Device Manager console. You may have an issue with that particular LUN an in order to rule out something off-host (switch, controller port etc) you will want to make sure that the disk is visible to the OS first. If they are visible (all paths), then you will want follow Marianne's suggestion.

As the disk shows yellow exclamation mark, neither red cross mark nor missing disk, I think the volume on the diskgroup can be mounted and you can write data into volume.

If "Reactive Disk" don't help and you can write data into volume just the write performance is not good, pls confirm the switch port. Based on my experience, this mostly the switch port module issue.
