Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Hello,

I have been trying find information about upgrading our windows 8 machines to windows 8.1 with out using teh windows store. Is this possible to do via Managment Console 7.5 Sp1 wiht out deploying a whole new OS to the machine  ?

Hi,

maybe you can try to do this, using "Managed Delivery" policy, in case if you have:

1. All required .msu imported with correct install command line and they are put in correct order to install.
2. Also you will need to make sure that your Managed Delivery policy will has correct Applicability and Detection rules.
3. And include only Windows 8 managed endpoints in resource target of Managed Delivery policy.

Note: Patch Management Solution 7.5 SP1 contains bulletins for 8.1 update, so you can use a patch management to update your managed endpoint Windows 8 to 8.1 verison.
