Has anyone done any current logon user directory scan exception?

I wish to exclude the realtime scan on the logon user Windows desktop search
c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\application data\microsoft\desktop search\applications\rsapp, not sure whether SEP could understand the variable defined by OS in the path. I can do this very easily in SAV 10 or early from the machine registry.
