quick info and see where we go.

backed up the c: drive of a server, and took another to test the process,

the problem seems to come with the HDD sizes,

main server

raid mirror 186Gb with 60Gb of data

second server

single 75Gb storage space

when i pop in the recovery disc and chose recover, use the files on my usb drive to recover it tells me that its an invalid drive 75Gb

is there a setting during backup i need to choose to only do the data and not lock it to the size of the original drive,

i may just be looking at the ghost side of life and tripping myself up, any help is appreciated.

thanks in advance,

Eddie

The disk that you're trying

The disk that you're trying to recover to is too small.

The calculation to find the minimum amount of space to restore to is as follows;

<Source drive total space>/6+<Used space on source>

or

186/6+60 = 91GB
