Endpoint Protection

I am having trouble with VBS:Malware-gen worm virus which I contacted on my computer through a USB flash disk. I have Symantec Endpoint Protection 11. something version installed in my computer but it did not report any actions or blocked or even quarantined any thing. I had to install AVAST Professional edition to block the virus. I was relying heavily on SEP but it let me down for the first time ever. I did not find any patches or upgrades for this worm virus anywhere on Symantec's site to overcome this virus infection.

Download the latest rapid release from the symantec site  ftp://ftp.symantec.com/AVDEFS/symantec_antivirus_corp/rapidrelease/  and download symrapidreleasedefsv5i32.exe

Install it on the computer

And then run a full system scan is safe mode

If that works well and good else run the Load Point tool and PM me the logs

Also, if Symantec is not  detecting it, you may submit thew  file to symantec Secuirty  response team.

Thank you Prachand and Vishal for helping me out. I am just downloading the exe file which you wanted me to download and run the scan with. Lets see what happens.
