Hello,  I tried to get rid of a "tribalfusion.com cookie" but the Semantic Endpoint Protection cannot perform deletion for a number of possible reasons.  The strange thing is that even though I checked the choice not to be notified each time the cookie is found, the notification window pops up anyway.  Do I need to re-install the software or is this usual.

What version of SEP are you running?

Is this (tribalfusion) a website that you use frequently, and was the page loaded when the alert was generated? What are the reasons that the cookie can't be deleted? Where (the file path) is the cookie being found?

Thank you for the feedback.

Brian81:

The version is 12.1.1000.157 RU1.

Sandra.g:

I have never visited a 'tribalfusion' website so the page was not loaded when the alert was generated.  SEP performed the defwatch active scan and found filename "cookiesystem.tribalfusion.com"and gave the message "Endpoint Protection cannot perform deletion", possible reasons provided were "files moved or deleted, trying to clean file located in e-mail message, trying to clean a compressed file in container".  I will note the file path the next time a scan occurs.

Rafeeq, all cookies have been deleted using the "internet options/general" tab.

Ashish, Browsing history has been deleted,  am not sure what you mean by the %Temp% file.  Where is it located?

Brian81, correction to the question about the version of SEP, it is 12.1, RU1 (12.1.1000.157).
