  • 1.  "Help again" Can't push an agent to a Windows 10 PC

    Posted Jan 07, 2016 09:07 PM

Sorry, the last post was messed up.

Anyways, I am trying to push an agent to a windows 10 PC and I get the 'The network path was not found.' . Unable to connect to computer XXXX with username (removed) .

The username in question has administrative rights and the proper password, firewall is turned off, UAC is off, PC is part of the domain etc. What else do I need to do to make this work?

I saw someone post this very same problem, but no one gave them a solution to the problem.

What needs to be done. "HELP"

Have you tried wpeutil disablefirewall on the WinPE command line before retrying?

From the system trying to push out the agent can you go to the start menu or windows explorrer and type the following.    If you are asked for user and password note exactly how you entered the user and password.    If you entered a Domain then you will need to also enter a domain in the push job you are doing.

    \\thefailedwin10pc\c$

If you can't get to the c$ share on the win 10 system using windows explorer then there is an issue at a windows level preventing connection to this system and ghost will also be prevented.   Look at the firewall, permission, antivirus, and any thing else that would prevent this system from being accessed remotely.

The user name will then be formatted like this      domain\username.        Don't use username@domain    this doesn't always work the same.

    Hope that helps.
