It all depends

The design depends on the architecture you are setting up.

Need to answer questions such as:
1. How many computers are you managing?
2. How many solutions are you going to be using?
3. Will SQL be on the same box or off box?
4. Do you need multiple Notification Servers?

SQL is on a seperate Machine
Using only 1 Central Notification Server

Just some pointers:

- make sure to configure your sites correctly
- use package severs in remote locations
- install the deployment server on the sql server
- only install the components you are actually using
