  • 1.  Help with firewall rules for SEP Clients

    Hello,

We have a SEPM server which is allows all traffic outbound from our firewall. We have clients in a seperate firewall zone which have restrictive access outbound to the internet. We are receiving "File reputation lookup alerts" from the clients. Do the clients need to communicate with the internet when a SEPM server is in place? If so, which sites do they need to communicate with? I tried to disable external communications in the manager for clients but it does not seem to change anything and we still receive the alerts about reputation lookup.

    Thank you!

The clients need access to the Internet to perform reputation lookups.

Specifically, the one listed in this article:

Required exclusions for proxy servers to allow Endpoint Protection to connect to reputation and licensing servers

Insight: URL that SEP clients send reputation requests to.
