Currently we are using Symantec corporate edition 10 in our domain. I have configured most clients to updated throught the internet to the symantec update server. Recently we have added some Web servers that do not have the ability to update through the web. These server have a back end connection to a private network that we use to administer them. I have successfully installed the AV to the servers and can see them in the management console.
I then began trying to configure our own liveupdate server for the webserver to be able contact and get virus updates. (I am using Liveupdate Administration Utility 1.5.7). Using the LiveUpdate admin guide I was finally able to get the live update to run without telling me it is unable to connect to a live update server. The problem is that it keeps saying the virus definitions from 2 years ago are the current defs. I am not sure how to proceed at this point. Any help would be great.
