  • 1.  Help with Proactive Threat Defs. not updating SEP/SEPM

    One workstation with Vista and SEP. All others are XP. On this one machine the antivirus updates like clockwork, but the Proactive Threat Protection will not. No errors that I can see. Uninstalled the client and reinstalled. Cleared the LU cache. Gets the latest defs. from SEPM on install and then will not update. No changes. Is this a Vista issue or is something hosed on the workstation?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

     If it's 64 bit, do you have XP 64 bit clients too?

    Nah... it's 32 bit Vista and SEPM is on a 32bit 2003 server.

    I cleared the cache, updated the policy and sent an update content command from SEPM. I waited 8 minutes and then rebooted the client. Voila, the defs. updated.

    So, do Vista clients just take longer to update? Was it something I did that allowed the defs to move over? I am clueless at this point.
