Help recovering backed up data - only s2vi and File Backup Data folder

Firstly apologies, my knowledge of Ghost is next to nil.I am using version 15.

I am trying to recover files from a backup. This backup was done to an external drive three months ago; in that time the PC from which the files were backed up had been formatted.

I suspect I'm missing a file. I have i) an .s2vi file, and ii) the File Backup Data folder with folders and and .fbf files within.

I have tried recovering via Recovery Point Browser but it doesnt see the s2vi file - unless I choose "system," in which case no recovery points are given.

I have tried "Import Destination Backup" on folders within the File backup Data folder, and then searched *.* and found my files which I am able to restore. However, the File Backup Data folder is 150 GB (one version) with about 400 folders within. To go through each one individually is extremely time consuming - Ghost takes a long time processing each folder.

Am I missing something obvious? If not is there a way to automate this process?

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Richard.

Having mentioned V15, I must assume you are running NORTON ghost which is a retail version that is supported in the Norton Community and not here. Please refer to the sticky posting at the top of this forum for links to the community.
