Hey everyone,
I'm struggling with some of my Symantec stuff. Imagine that! I'm having issues with Symantec. Todays issue is something that has been ongoing with our Symantec Endpoint Protection Version 11.0.4202.75. On a number of our machines and servers we are getting an event warning (Event ID: 9) with a description of " Symantec AVPE Daemon is incompatible with SAV Product Version 0.0.0." I've done a google search wihtout much luck. I've searched the Symantec Knowledge Base which has proven to not bet that knowledgable. I decided to try this out before I head on over to experts-exchange to see if they can figure out Symantec's problems since I can't seem to find a solution on Symantec's own website. I'd call support, but with it being the end of the day I am not in the mood to take a chance on making a call that could end up taking a considerable amount of time. And, I'm really not in the mood to try and speak with someone in India.
Has anyone seen this warning, and more importantly, does anyone know how to make it go away?
