Hi there guys, i'm going insane with this service desk install.....

I'm working off the "servicedesk 7.1 installation guide" and getting caught at the "SMP SERVER CREDENTIALS"

I put in the details needed and gives me the error "connection failed to SMP server" (screenshot: "error on servicedesk server")

I try and access the sites manually wth the credentials and that works (screenshot: "opeining licensing website from sd server")

I found another connect article on this error and tried their solution by removing the APPLICATION SERVER and WEB SERVER (IIS) role on the service desk server and reinstalling it. that did not work.

I'm stumpt now; i've added more screenshots to show things like accounts in the administrators group, sql rights etc...

I've moved this to the ServiceDesk forum for you.

One thing I noticed was that you're putting username is as domain/user... have you tried putting the domain in the domain textbox by itself?

Alos, realize that the test being successful is by no means a requirement for going forward. You can still continue on with the install and fix it later if needed.
