Does anyone know where the Privileges="privAdminister"> group is located in Heldpesk? Is it on the IIS side, the OS or a default one created in the templetes area? I would like to make a special group so that I can add people to it and give them certain access to Helpdesk features such as making quick incidents.

thanks in advance for your help,
  Anthony

Thanks for the link, but I am

Thanks for the link, but I am looking not to hide something from all but to set permissions based on groups. Such as Helpdesk  Level 2  could create quick Incidents for all to see , not have that as a permission currently set for Admins only. So if anyone knows how to create or where these priv groups are located that would help out very much.
Thanks again for the link and I wish that was the answer .

I'm not aware of a method to

I'm not aware of a method to do just that permission.  As you've seen there is an Admin priviledge that does that and it could be customized to be one of the other priviledges (worker and guest if memory serves me right), but I'm not sure how you'd go about creating a custom priviledge.

You could try to specify who the privileges go to.

You could try to specify who the privileges go to in the corresponding template.

I dont have my test server in front of me at the moment to test but you could try to edit the privileges by specifiying them. You would use the same logic from the link above

[aw:HyperLink ID="imgEditComment" RunAt="server" Command="editItemComment" ImageUrl="icnEdit" ToolTip="sidTipEditComment" Wrap="False" privileges="x,y,z"

Make sure to make a copy of the file first so that you dont break anything. I'll try to take a look tonight or tomorrow.

Privileges in Helpdesk

The priv... groups are build-in and are related to the Security Roles.
So, you have privManageWorker that is related to the privelege "Manage Workers" in the Priveleges TAB of the Security Role

As I had questions on this item myself, I did some work on an small article that hopefully will be released by the administrators on of these moments/days.

These priv's I have found and related for Helpdesk are:
Administrator
Administrators -- privAdminister
Incident Privileges
Manage Workers -- privManageWorkers
Create Bulletins -- privCreateBulletins
Edit Incidents -- privEditIncidents
Edit Multiple Inicidents -- privEditMultipleIncidents
View Incidents -- privViewIncidents
Helpdesk Privileges
Create Incidents -- privCreateIncidents
View Knowledge base Articles -- privViewKBArticle
Administer Knowledge Base Articles -- privAdministerKB
Edit Knowledge Base Articles -- privEditKBArticle

I am not aware you can create your own priv... definitions.
If so, please let us know

Guido

Thanks for the help Guido ! I will try these out and if I have time I will also try to create some to see if that would work too.  Thanks again to everyone giving suggestions.
