  • 1.  HF4 upgrade - Task service install issue

    OK, just did the HF4 upgrade and having problems with my site servers. 4 out of 5 have not upgraded the task service.

    The task service is showing on the client - the status is "Package is unavailable"

    The download history shows as failed even though I see taskserversetup.exe on the site server. If I run it manually it says

    "Unable to create or write to the output file"

    Anyone any ideas how to fix this ?

    Also getting issues running tasks from these boxes now.

    Hi,

    I think it could be the issue with task server setup process which still active on your servers after upgrade from HF2 to HF3. Please try to restart problematic site-server, specify schedule for the "Task Server Upgrade" policy and wait until it will run.

    Exception above will appear on any attempt to launch task on a client with already upgraded to HF4 SMA, if this client works with not yet upgraded Task Server.

    Hi, thanks Alex. I rebooted the servers. Cloned the policys and scheduled them.

    The tasks are now running and plugins at correct level.
