    Hi,

I recently encountered a problem on a server because of Symantec, so I had to uninstall it. I did so and wiped all the keys from the registry, following the instructions in article http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH102261&locale=en_US

Also I used Windows Cleanup Utility and thought that I had removed everything. But when I went back to the Device Manager I still had the Symantec Network Security Miniport #2 visible with an error (yellow exclamation mark). So I searched on how I can remove it, as Windows is not letting me uninistall it and tried to follow the instructions to modify the registry key related to it, described in article http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Symantec-Network-Security-Miniport-3/td-p/294524 , but there isn't such a key on the machine.

After that I saw that there are left over files from Symantec Endpoint protection and I followed the instructions (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH102286&locale=en_US) on removing those but it didn't work as well. I also never had a teefer driver on the machine.

Can anyone please help me get rid of this miniport in the device manager?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    Did you install SNAC?

The Document's you provided above shows how to uninstall SNAC enteries as well.

Make sure you follow the entire Document rather a part of it.

Try this possible solution posted by Raffeq - https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/teefer-2-miniport-issue#comment-3572141

If that does not work, you may need to contact support and ask for the Cleanwipe tool.

Hi. Thank you for the answers.

@Mithun Sanghavi I had SNAC and SEP installed and yes I did follow every single step from every document, except that some files and folders weren't existing when I got to them.

@ Cycletech - thank you for the link. I will go down to the server room and follow the suggestions in the post and I'll see what will happen.

I'll let you know if there is any change.

There is a new Cleanwipe tool from Symantec, check with Symantec support to get the tool and run on the machine.
