    1. Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console
    2. Select the Clients view.
    3. Under View Clients, select the group for which you would like to hide (or display) the shield icon.
    4. Select Policies
    5. Expand Location-specific Settings and select Tasks > Edit settings for Client User Interface Control Settings.
    6. Click the Customize button for Server control.
    7. Under the General section, disable (or enable) the Display the notification area icon option and then click OK

Note: If your Client User Interface Control Settings are set for Mixed Control (step 6 above), you must enable the Server option for the Client User Interface Settings after following the steps above

Do you want SEP client icon to disappear from system tray?

    or

Do you want to gray out the disable Symantec endpoint protection when you right click on the SEP client from system tray as shown below.

    Hi Sonday,

You lock the all tabs in antivirus & antispyware policy.

    1. Select the Clients view.
    2. Under View Clients, select the group for which you would like to hide (or display) the shield icon.
    3. Select Policies
    4. Expand Location-specific Settings and select Tasks > Edit settings for Client User Interface Control Settings.
    5. Click the Customize button for Server control.
    6. Uncheck the allow user enable and disable the application device control.
