    Hi,

I am facing a problem with hierarchy.

We have install, uninstall policies and have HEP's like enabled, resource target etc. Now if I make the policy ON and enable the 'Enabled' HEP at the parent NS and replicate this policy on the child, the ON/Off is editable as expected but this control is replicated as OFF which should be ON as on the parent. This is happening with all the policy. If I disable the 'Enable' HEP at the parent and then replicate at the child it works fine as expected.

Here's the Etrack defect for it : 2147679

    Please help

I would say this is by design, reason if you replicate the enable policy on child machine then it will go every targeted client immediately, which might not be needed on child machine also client of Parent and child machines are different. And also think case where two administrator handling these machines.

    Hi Ashutosh,

Can you confrim me this is by design?

Yes I do agree with you on this design as the child NS machines will immediately get the policy.

The etrack has been closed, stating that it is an expected behavior.
