  • 1.  High Availability for SEPM servers across sites

Hi, Sorry if I am bugging you guuys with a very basic question. I went through so many posts in this forum and couldn't find answer to this question.

We have 2 SEPM servers at two sites which are replicated over WAN VPN, (say server SEPM-A at Site A and SEPM-B at Site B). Each SEPM server has a dozen of GUPs and hundreds of  clients reporting to it. The servers are not redundant ie, they are having embedded databases.

Suppose if the server SEPM-A fails for a long time, is there an option with which the clients/GUPs reporting to it will get the updates from SEPM-B at the other location?

Basically my question is that whether the clients can get updates from the replicated server at the other location if the local SEPM server fails?

    Hello,

No. The clients cannot get updates from the replicated server at the other location automatically if the local SEPM server fails.

You would have to make the changes to the SEPM Liveupdate Policy at the earliest.

However, once the GUP's connects to the Replication server, it would receive the Latest updates and would be able to update all the clients again.
