Exact Error Message
Enabling Monitoring of HiCommand Arrays
Details:
Set up and configure HDS Tuning Manager through CCS?
Here are just few items that need to be checked (given that TM is configured and managing HDS arrays correctly):
Yes!
In CCS UI: Edit HDVM Device:
* Need to check the box ?Enable Monitoring of HiCommand Arrays? for HDvM (Hitachi Device Manager) discovering.
* Specify Hitachi Tuning Manager IP Address or Name
* Under Advanced Settings specify: Monitor These HiCommand Arrays (* or array1:array2)
On Tuning Manager (TM) Server:
* Date and time on TM Server and CCS Management Server have to be in synch. They cannot be more than 2 minutes apart.
* TM Service "HiCommand Suite TuningService" needs to be started and running on TM Server.
Note: Purpose of that service is to: "Provide Performance Data to External Programs". This Service is not needed by Tuning Manager and therefore is by default set to Manual and initially not started. *That service is needed for CCS*.
