Host Interface Error
I am running Veritas 9.1 on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition server.
We are having one particular issue that casues concern. The error :
The tape drive has a problem with the host interface:
1. Check the cables and cable connections.
2. Restart the operation.
The server is no more than a month old. Veritas was working fine for about 2 weeks. We have tried tapes that have been written on before and brand new tapes. I have contacted dell, and ran some hardware tests on the drive. I was able to successfully preform a read/write test on the drive. The drive is a DDS4
I can preform a test run and an inventory test successfully in veritas. But when a scheduled backup attempts to run It will not launch and I will see this error on the morning.
