Please Help, I work for a Small bank and we are using hosted PGP WDE to protect our Company laptops in the event they are lost or stolen. We are in the process of severing our relationship with the MSP that hosts our PGP solution and wish to bring this product in-house and I have a few questions:

    1. We have 20 endpoints and I do not want to have to de-crypt them all, is there a way to change the server they point to so that they can get a new key?
    2. Is there a demo version so that I can set-up a lab to test the conversion before implemation?
    3. Any advice would be helpful

Changing the server shouldn't be too difficult and believe is just a quick registry change (someone correct me if I'm wrong). You can find the key you need under:

    HKLM/SOFTWARE/PGP

and the key you want is PGPSTAMP. You'll see that it contains the server name following "ovid=". Change this and you should be good to go.

If you can migrate the data from the hosted server to your own then it should go fairly straightforward after importing the data to the local server.

    Thank you James!!

I will request that my provider do an export from their server so that I have the needed info when we are ready to go. Is the export something simple that the our host should know how to do?

    James is right.

    Try PGP software for free:

I believe so, yeah. From System > Backups they'll need to redirect a backup to an FTP or similar, unless they do that already then it's easy. That will give you all their settings too, so you may need to tweak it after importing to fit to your network.

There's also an Export Data option as the bottom of the home page, but I don't think this can be imported back in (never tried it that way before). Could be worth considering if you just want the data. I'd go for the first option first though if you can.
