This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have my serial number for SNAC, but I can't seem to find how to actually activate SNAC in the SEPM.

Hi,

my recent experience was that I had to download a seperate install package that has to be installed on the same server that SEP is running on.

I went to http://fileconnect.symantec.com

and had to enter the serial number of the SNAC enforcer so I could download the SNAC package for the SEP server.

Any issues, let me know and I will try to help further.

Steve

Do you have a SNAC enforcer appliance?

After reading all the doco I was under the impression that the SNAC software did not need to be installed on the Management Console at all. I was of the understanding that once you connected the SNAC enforcer to your SEPM server that it would enable the Host Integrity and SNAC features automatically... not true!

I had to install the SNAC appliance software on top of the Management Console to enable the extra features as well as be able to see the Enforcer object under the Admin --> Servers page.

Some things are obvious, some things are far from obvious.

Thanks for the info.  I downloaded the SNAC media and ran the install on my SEPM and I now have the Host Integrity policies available.
