    Hi,

I use Touchdown on my Android phone to connect to a Hosted Exchange Server which has my primary e-mail account.  Recently I added another independant e-mail account with my ISP using Office 365 Email.  I would like to add this e-mail to Touchdown, so I can see all my mail in one location.  How would I do this?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You can sync as many Exchange profiles with TouchDown as your device can support. However, only one account will be active at any time (pushing or polling). To create new profile, please click Menu/More/Profiles on the main screen, and add a new profile. Long press on any profile to see options such as moving its data to SD card, etc. Once you create a new profile, a new button in the home screen will appear to allow you quickly switch profiles.

Note: profiles are not recommended if you are using an MDM (Mobile Device manager such as MobileIron or Airwatch) to connect to your server. This can cause issues with your connection to your Exchange server.

Actually, this did not work. It turns out my new e-mail account is not Exchange but Office365, which I could not connect to Touchdown.  So I downloaded and installed Microsoft Outlook and that worked fine.

Office 365 runs on Exchange 2013 and Touchdown works fine with it. The trick for me is to use m.outlook.com as the server or it will not connect.

Thanks for that, Gregg Hill 2.  Using m.outlook.com as the server worked for me, too.

After several months, I have picked this up again. I am having trouble getting it to work. I must be missing something.

To summarize:  I have 2 email accounts, one on Hosted Exchange and the other on hosted Office 365, both with GoDaddy (who I really like, btw).  I would like to get both email accounts on Touchdown.  Currently I get the Exchange account on Touchdown and the Office365 on Outlook (which sucks).  The latter just broke, and rather than fix it, I would rather get it all on Touchdown.

Under Touchdown Menu->Settings->Account Information, it lists the UserID and Server Name for the Exchange account.

Where can I find the place to enter the server name and credentials for a 2nd email account?  I can't find it anywhere.

I did successfully create a new Profile, but again, I can't find any way to associate the new profile with the Office 365 account. It just points to the Exchange data.

As a further mystifying fact, under Settings for the phone, then Touchdown for SmartPhones, there are 2 accounts listed!!  However I cannot verify the server name or credentials associated with either account.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Dan

The way profiles work, you have the ability to create additional profiles and switch between them, each profile is active exclusively on the application, this means when one profile is active it deactivates the others. In order to add additional accounts, just creating a profile is not enough, you should long press on it and switch to that profile. Once you do that, it should show you a blank startup screen from where you can perform the configuration. You can run your O365 configuration from there. Once that is done, it will be sync'd and you will see that accounts data. You can at this point switch back and forth between profiles to activate/deactivate.

Thanks.  That worked.  Part of the key was using the previously mentioned server name of m.outlook.com.

    Hi,

You will want to go to Touchdown settings>Advanced>legacy>Account and run a quick configuration. Note any custom settings as those will be wiped.

For o365, you will want to use the following configuration settings:

    userid: Your email

    Domain: leave blank

    email: email

    server: m.outlook.com OR outlook.office365.com

    SSL enabled, Activesync ONLY.

Did anyone find a way to show email from 2 different exchange accounts in one, combined inbox ? In particular, I'd like to see all my email-from 2 exchange accounts --in one place and be able to turn them into tasks or calendar entries on the exchange account I use for all my scheduling.

    Hi,

Touchdown doesn't have the capability to do that due to possible conflicts in security policies.
