How to add an application manually to allow its IP Traffic?

Is there a way to add an application manually? On an unmanaged computer we have "Unmatched IP Traffic Settings: Allow only application traffic & Prompt before allowing application traffic" set. One application is not getting detected and times out. If we change the setting to "Allow IP Traffic" the application works. The application does not how up at all in "View network activity". It only uses UDP.

Thanks,

Ray

ADD Firewall Rule

When you add a firewall rule...it gives you an option to browse and select the executable for which you want to allow or block the traffic

That's what I was hoping, but...

It didn't work. Oddly, the firewall log does not show a source program for some reason.

Also have this problem

Hello

I'm currently having the same problem. Some applications are not detected.

And when I manually add them in the firewall rule, they still cannot connect.
Specifically, the programs are Fulltiltpoker, counterstrike and Call of duty modern warfare 2.

If we change the setting to "Allow IP Traffic" the applications work.
I'm running windows 7 64 bit.

Also: When viewing "network activity" the applications in question does not show up on the list when started/running.

Please help
Maggern
