  • 1.  How to add a form to SD 7.1

    Recently we loaded a search form and published it.  I went through SD and cannot find it under the service desk catalog.  Can anyone tell me if we forgot a step that would allow us to see the form.

    There should be a step in Deployment to "Publish to Process Manager forms". Specify a user/pw to connect, then specify a category.

    thanks recardo,

    i dont have access to the publish manager forms but i was told it was done.  If all was done correctly i should see it under Admin>Service Catalog Settings> under browse category correct?

    Yes, that Category dropdown should load with the different category options... Service Catalog should be one of them.

    i guess we will have to visit this process as i dont see it on my end.  Maybe republishing and this time do an IISRest will help.

    Just edit the Service Catalog and add the form manually? :)

    I have never added a form manually, do you have the steps to accomplish this, what info do i need?

    If the publisher of the worflow performed the step reecardo illustrated it's likely the form is in the list, just not visible to you based on ProcessManager permissions. Maybe have that user login to the portal and update permissions of the published form?

    Otherwise, adding a form manually is a relatively simple process if you've been provided, or have access to, the necessary details. You just need the name of the virtual directory (from the first page of the publishing dialog or from looking at virtual directories in IIS) and the start page if it's been changed (default is StartDialog.aspx). Once this info is known edit a standard SD form such as the General submission form to view the configured settings. Based on my example the URL would be /SD.Feeder.GeneralIncidentSubmitForm/StartDialog.aspx, enable passing the session ID named EnsembleSessionID, configure permissions to allow others to see them, etc.
