You need to create a diskgroup resource and a Mount resource.  You can optionally create a Volume resource, but this is only really required if you are going to use the volume without a filesystem, like Oracle RAW datafiles.  The Mount resource should be linked (make dependent) on the diskgroup resource.

What do you mean - if you were able to create a diskgroup resource, what difficulties do you have creating Mount resource - this should be the same method for creating diskgroup resource with different resource type and different attributes.

@solom, the manuals are your friends - please download the Cluster Server Guides from this link: https://sort.symantec.com/documents/doc_details/sfha/6.0.1/Linux/ProductGuides/

Especially  Veritas Cluster Server Bundled Agents Reference Guide and Veritas Cluster Server Administrator's Guide.

Good luck!

Hi, solom

After you create dg, you can create a volume in dg, create a vxfs file system on it, then create a mountpoint,then mount it:

for example:

vxassist -g dgname make  volumename  10g

mkfs -t vxfs /dev/vx/rdsk/dgname/volumename

mkdir /mountpoint

mount -t  /dev/vx/dsk/dgname/volumename  /mountpoint.

After that ok, you can manual add that to vcs configuration.

Hi Solom,

Simply answer your question, use VOM create a mount resource within same service group as disk group and use the volume create in the disk group. The dependency is necessary for it on disk group.

You need to refer the guides mate .. As Marianne said ... guides are the best friends .. you will find all the information there . look for administering resources section in VCS admin guide

I'm sorry,  delayed to answer

I created DiskGroups and inside disk group i created volums and i mounted .

Now when i created service cluster group and i need to mount the LUNs inside service group but when i put it the name for any LUNs is tell me this LUNs already exists .

Thank you all for your answer

You don't mount LUNs - you mount volumes

Mount resource should be something like:

Mount data_mnt (

                MountPoint = "/data"
                BlockDevice = "/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/datavol"
                FSType = vxfs
                FsckOpt = "-y"
                )
