People,
I'm about to commission new floor in the office with the new IP address scheme / class, how can I add the IP address class so that the Firewall still accept it as the Secure Internal Network in the Location specific policies ?
I'm using SEPM 12.1.3 and SEP client ranging from 11.0.6 into 12.1.3
Thanks
You can just edit your location and add in the new range.
On Clients page click the Policies tab, select your group and under Tasks select Manage Locations
Select whatever location you need and edit accordingly

You need to add your DHCH server to the new location firewall policy.
Hi Rafeeq, does that means the SEPM server can now query the DHCP server and automatically acknowledge & recognize all of the DHCP scope defined by the DHCP server ?
my DHCP server is Windows Server 2012 Std which also acts as Domain Controllers and DNS server as well.
It just means the clients will check the range they should be in and if they fall into that range they will switch to the location that has been defined for that range.
The rules are for clients. If they are in specific IP range, they switch location, they get the location specific policy..

Cool, does this means that when I add the new DHCP scope in the Windows Server, I do not need to worry or change anything on the SEPM client anymore ?
When you make the change on the SEPM, the policy will be pushed down to the clients and they will reflect the change automatically.
ok, so the SEPM does not query automatically the AD integrated DHCP server ?
No
Nope
