Hi,

Netbackup Env.:

Master server + 4 media servers (windows server 2008 r2 64bit)

IBM tape library: TLD, HCART2 drive type

Netbackup version for all servers: 7.5.0.7

We just had a new VG8/VNX in the env. and the guy working on storage gave us the new paths to our IBM robot:

We already have the old -not yet decommisioned- nas storage attached to the IBM trought drive paths and worked(still working) nicely.

But new zoned drive paths cannot be found, how can I add the new NDMP drive paths to the new NAS storage (already set-up in netbackup)??

Do I need to restart master+medias?

This are the new path:

When you run tpautoconf -verify [NAS hostname] and tpautoconf -probe [NAS hostname] do you see the new paths there?

If you do run the hardware wizard and make sure to check the NDMP option for adding. See HOWTO53061 for more information.

If you don't see the new paths when doing the probe, then NetBackup will not find them when running the wizzard. Make sure the filer is configured to present them the the Host OS. Check out this fourm post for ndmp-drive-paths to toubleshoot.

Hi,

Yes I see them with  -probe, but when I try to add them with the wizard it didn`t add them.

I tryed again this morning and it worked, now Drive tape 2 did not add them, can I delete drive tape 2 and add it again? do you have a procedure?

Thank You.

Yes, try removing and adding again. You can remove the drive in NetBackup by right-clicking the drive and deleting or use tpconfig -delete -drive drvindex
